How to Create a Private or Public Channel on Telegram? Telegram iOS app: In the “Chats” tab, click the new message icon in the right upper corner. Select “New Channel.” Select: Settings – Manage Channel – Administrators – Add administrator. From your list of subscribers, select the correct user. A new window will appear on the screen. Check the rights you’re willing to give to your administrator. Public channels are public to the internet, regardless of whether or not they are subscribed. A public channel is displayed in search results and has a short address (link). A new window will come up. Enter your channel name and bio. (See the character limits above.) Click “Create.”
