At the risk of infuriating #TadesseWerede , commander of #TheTigrayanArmy and his fellow military command members, I am betting that #Abiy’s final offensive is, indeed, his final.

They are slightly frugal in their assessment & they think we
need to take care of the remaining units before making such judgement. We both agree the defeat is going to be total though.

I tend to believe the end is a matter of days or a couple weeks and they tend to believe it could take slightly longer. That #Abiy is losing big, there is no doubt whatsoever.

We have always been consistent to a fault when it comes to what we are after: break the siege imposed on Tigray by the child-killer regime of # AbiyAhmed & Co.

We are not after power, territory or anything of that sort. We need our children to be spared from senseless violence; our mothers to be free from the fear of gang rape or summary execution and more appealing crimes.

We need to ensure that our children & elderly have a decent access to basic amenities such as food or medicine. In short, we need to make sure our people resume living their lives as normally as they could.

That’s not too much to ask or so we believe. We are willing to try & achieve these through peaceful means, if possible. In fact, that’s our preferred path. Let it be clear, however, that we will continue to do what it takes to break the siege come hell or high waters!

#AbiyAhmed ’s ‘Air Force’ sent its bomber jet to attack civilian
targets in& outside #Mekelle. Monday is market day in #Mekelle & the intention is all too palpable. While they are losing big in what they dubbed as a final offensive against Tigray, they will obviously continue to target civilians in a desperate move to exact revenge on the people of Tigray.

One of their targets was #thePlanetHotel where a dozen or so Humanitarian Agencies used to have their employees.

Apparently the authorities in Addis are in the know about #UNEthiopia ’s recent decision to move most of its workforce out of Mekelle & Tigray.

Whatever the connections there, however, our people won’t be cowed into submission by a desperate move by a desperate regime teetering on the brink of collapse.

There is so much naïveté flying around in the crucibles of international diplomatic Capitals of the world as regards #AbiyAhmed ’s overtures for peace. While we have seen time & again that he quickly responds to military pressure, he is not someone who would willingly abandon his preferred choice of resolving differences through military means as long as he thinks he can get away with it. He has never been for terrorize peace only the appropriate use of sticks can prod him into considering such path.

The #AirStrikeonCivilians in # Mekelle is proof positive that he will do everything to our people especially when his forces are losing in the battlefield. If people had illusions he could keep his promise to resolve the conflict peacefully, yesterday’s attack should make it clear that only sticks are effective.

# AbiyAhmed ’s Air Force did target a local hospital in #MayTsebri.

Ironically, they also targeted what little is left of #AlmedaTextile in Adwa.

The textile factory had been totally destroyed by Ethio-Eritrean forces months ago. No military targets of course.

# TigrayArmyMilitarycommand calls on members of the
disintegrating forces of #Abiy’s regime in #Wollo , #Afar
& #Gondar to hand themselves over lest they should perish
with a dying regime.

It also calls on the residents of #Dessie & #Kombolcha to
remain indoors. Our forces are trying to avoid street fighting in
the two densely populated cities where there are in Indications
they still want to use mosques& churches as staging grounds
for token resistance against our forces by Abiy’s juvenile errand boys. The rest, as they say, is history.
