The NYPD is requesting the public’s assistance to identify suspects involved in two robberies. The first incident occurred on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at around 9:05 PM in front of 760 59 Street. A 48-year-old woman was approached by two individuals on a blue and black motorized scooter. The suspects displayed a firearm, pushed the victim down the stairs, and stole her purse before fleeing westbound on 59 Street. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS and was not hospitalized.
The second incident happened on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM in front of 714 58 Street. A 27-year-old woman was approached by two individuals on a similar scooter. The suspects struck her left hand with an unknown object and forcibly took her purse before fleeing westbound on 58 Street. The victim was transported by EMS to NYU Langone Health-Brooklyn, where she was treated and reported to be in stable
