Mandatory Android themed icons

Google introduced themed icons in Android 13, allowing users to match app icon colors with the system theme.

Until now, this feature was optional, and some apps did not provide themed icons.

Now, Google has introduced a new rule requiring developers to allow their app icons to adapt to system colors.

For new developer accounts, this rule takes effect on September 15, 2025, and for existing accounts on October 15, 2025.
