"For if so be, that as every man is most ready to suffer death for the faith of his sect, so his faith should be judged most perfect and most sure, there shall be no faith more certain and true, than is the Anabaptists', seeing there be none now, or have been before time for the space of these thousand and two hundred years, who have been more cruelly punished, or that have more stoutly, steadfastly, cheerfully taken their punishment, yea or have offered themselves of their own accord to death, were it never so terrible and grievous." St Patrickโs day is March 17th, and most people donโt know this, but the real Patrick had nothing to do with the Catholic pagan Church of Rome. In fact, Patrick was Baptist in faith and practice, and preached the same biblical gospel that we believe today.
Patrick wrote,
โOf the Lord is salvation;
Christ is salvation;
With us ever be
Thy salvation, O Lord!โ
Sure sounds like faith alone and eternal security eh?
"Rome's most audacious theft was when she seized bodily the Apostle Peter and made him the putative head and founder of her system; but next to that brazen act stands her effrontery when she 'annexed' the great missionary preacher of Ireland and enrolled him among her saints" - A Short History of the Baptists [1907], Henry C. Vedder

A Short History of the Baptists by Henry Vedder
โBaptist are justly proud of their parentage โ the New Testament. They have an ancient and scriptural originโฆ There is no personality this side of Jesus Christ, who is a satisfactory explanation of their origin.โ - George W McDaniel (The People Called Baptists)

Translation: For be as if, He is the most ready to die for the faith of a fugitive party; truer than that of the Anabaptists, with no end nor; they have been since then for a thousand and two hundred years, of which the punishment was greater than that of the experience, stronger, stronger, more zealous for them, and even to death if they offered any horrible thing beyond faith.

A Baptist position on the denominations.
Independent Fundamental Baptist [IFB] is not a denomination, itโs more of a label. Denominations contain an organization of various assemblies and man-made hierarchy. IFB churches are independent (itโs in the name!) and therefore not a denomination.

โThey professed to be the true Church, because they followed Christ, and patterned after the Apostles; they sought no secular gain or earthly property, but were the poor in Christ, while the Roman Church made itself rich. They accounted themselves as sheep amongst wolves, fleeing from city to city, enduring persecution with the ancient martyrs, although they were living laborious, holy and self-denying lives.โฆ They rejected the intercession of saints, and they called all observances in the Church which Christ had not established superstitions. They denied the doctrine of purgatorial fire after death, and believed that when men die they go immediately to heaven or to hell.โ

This Book has ancient Waldesian documents and confessions in it, as per Page 94, and proves Waldesians/Vaudois are Baptists and go back to Jesus. Read it sometime "The history of the Evangelical churches of the valleys of Piemont : containing a most exact geographical description of the place, and a faithfull account of the doctrine, life, and persecutions of the ancient inhabitants ; Together, with a most naked and punctual relation of the late bloudy massacre, 1655 ; And a narrative of all the following transactions, to the year of Our Lord, 1658 .." by Samuel Morland. https://archive.org/details/historyofevangel00morl/page/n171/mode/2up
