“We have now seen that the Baptists, who were formerly called Anabaptists, and in later times Mennonites, were the original Waldenses, and who have long in the history of the Church received the honor of that origin. On this account, the Baptists may be considered as the only Christian community which has stood since the days of the Apostles; and as a Christian society which has preserved pure the doctrines of the gospel through all the ages.”

1 John 5:7 was in Vaudois' Old Latin Bible ‘the fact,—that the principal copies of that version have been preserved in that diocese, the metropolitan church of which was situated in Milan. The circumstance is at present mentioned, as the authour thence formed a hope, that some remains of the primitive Italick version might be found in the early translations made by the Waldenses, who were the lineal descendants of the Italick Church; who have asserted their independence against the usurpations of the Church of Rome, and have ever enjoyed the free use of the Scriptures. In the search to which these considerations, have led the authour, his fondest expectations have been fully realized. It has furnished him with abundant proof on that point to which his Inquiry was chiefly directed; as it has supplied him with the unequivocal testimony of a truly apostolical branch of the primitive church, that the celebrated text, of the heavenly witnesses was adopted in the version which prevailed in the Latin Church,"

Part 2: "Another point to which the authour has directed his attention, has been the consideration of the old Italick translation. ... the celebrated text,of the heavenly wit nesses was adopted in the version which prevailed in the Latin Church, previously to the introduction of the modern Vulgate [previous to Jerome's Latin Vulgate]."

In the Old Latin Bible, which was first translated in the 100s AD & was copied by the Vaudois up to the 1700s, a 1522 copy of the Old Latin Bible has 1 John 5:7-8, which says:
[7] C. trei son liqual donan testimoni al cel, lo paire elo filh, elo sanct sperit, e aquisti trei son vn.
[8] E tres son liqual donan testimoni en terra, sperit aigua e sang, e aquisti trei son vn.

Vaudois Old Latin Bible copied in 1522 Link (Page 269 of 375): https://digitalcollections.tcd.ie/concern/works/td96k7721?locale=ga&page=32
The Vaudois Old Latin Bibles were directly translated early on from Greek manuscripts; both Greek & Latin were the main commonly spoken languages of the Roman Empire during the 1st century (when the New Testament/NT was written) & the 2nd century (when NT was translated)
The next posts will prove the Vaudois/Waldesians go back to the Apostles & their Old Latin Bibles go back to the 100sAD

On 1 John 5:7, here's Proof 2 that the Vaudois/Valdese/Waldenses & their Old Latin Bibles that have 1 John 5:7-8, go back to the Apostles' time
"We likewise befeech your highnefs to consider, that this Religion we profefs [profess], is not only ours, nor hath it had been invented by Men of late years, as it is falfely reported, but it is the Religion of Fathers, Grand-fathers, and Great-grand-fathers, and of yet more ancient Predecefours of ours, and of the blessed Martyrs, Confeffours, Prophets, and Apostles,...The Word of God fhall not perifh, but remain forever; wherefore, if our Religion be the true Word of God,...and not the Invention of men, no humane force shall be able to extinguifh it.

Proof Anabaptists are not the same as Protestants: why did Prots/Lutherans condemn Anabaptists in 5 pages of the 1530 Ausburg Confession that Protestants themselves made?

The noteworthy thing is Prots/Lutherans used 5 PAGES OUT OF 84 PAGES in the PROTESTANT' own 1530 Ausburg Confession TO SAY "THEY CONDEMN THE ANABAPTISTS"!🤔🤔
So why would Prots uses 5 PAGES of their 1530 Ausburg Confession to say they condemn Anabaptists on 5 varied issues, if Protestants & Anabaptists were the same thing? Oh, because the Protestants did not get along with the Anabaptists and were not the same things!
(Quick note page 14: no Anabaptist believes that there is an end to punishment of unbelieving/condemned men and devils but Anabaptists believe there is eternal punishment for unbelievers and devils in the Lake of Fire forever.)

A History of the Baptists Part 1 Laying the Foundation
Link
This series has a two-fold purpose: 1) to trace the history of the Baptists from the days of the apostles to the time of the Protestant Reformation and 2) to trace the origin and history of the family of manuscripts which were used to produce our English Bible.
Along the way, the series will present many different groups of Baptists and anabaptists called by different names in different places and at different times... but all holding to the same basic tenets as modern day Baptists.
Additionally, the history of the corrupt church(es) which parallel the history of the true church will be discussed in each period of time, as well.
This study is the product of more than 30 years of research and study by Ray McBerry, Pastor of Pinnacle Baptist Church.

PBC A History of the Baptists Part 5 of 5 The Baptists Who Gave Birth to the Reformation
Link
In Part 5 of this groundbreaking series of Baptist history, Pastor Ray McBerry deals with the Waldensian Baptists from their beginnings from near apostolic times through the Protestant Reformation. But the most important historical contribution of this treatise on the Waldenses which separates it from all other historical accounts of these ancient Baptists is the documented evidence that Pastor McBerry provides, using original sources which are the product of more than 30 years of research, near the end of this segment which proves definitively that these Baptists were both directly and indirectly responible for the Reformation. (At the same time, the video shows Baptists are NOT Protestants & Baptists have existed since 30AD, almost 1,500 years before the Protestants before 1517 Reformation)
[Note: These Baptists' names are the Waldensians/Vaudois;/Vallsenes means people of the valleys [of the Piedmont] )]
