The Rose & Crown (The German Pub) - 47 Colombo St, #London, #SE1

Among London's pub relics are a few buildings that narrowly survived annihilation. Funnily enough, in today's time, it isn't wars or natural disasters destroying our history and skyline, but the decisions made by those tasked with protecting them.

The Gallions Hotel and Albert Dock - Basin Approach, #London, #E16 ⚓️

Join us as we visit what were the largest docks in the world in order to discuss one of its few remaining buildings of historical worth. #Britian and her empire depended on the very shipping that was being carried out within east London's #Docklands. Not only were the greatest minds involved in their construction and maintenance, but so too were a great many of our ancestors who worked the docks or sailed the ships. This pub/hotel still sits in one of the many important locations within the expansive Docklands that once spread from the end of East London all the way to the riverbanks of the city. The places that was once incredibly busy, and noisy, are now, chillingly, as quiet as a mouse. The Suffering Pub Scene Of Woolwich
Southeast #London, #England

#Woolich, like most parts of London's once thriving and famous #Docklands, has become yet another pub graveyard. We take a short trip through the area to highlight its current climate and the visible death of what was once a bustling social life within South London. There's no denying that the loss of #Britain's pubs is a clear sign of its decline. There's far too much to say, so I shall let the video speak for itself. At the end of this video is a short montage of some other properties to have died in the past few decades. If you enjoy, or connect with this video, give it a share to help others who may have similar interests to find our work. Thank you for watching, and all of your support. 🤝
