Former officers and soldiers of the SAA 25th Special Mission Forces Division (Tiger Forces) have gathered themselves in mountainous areas near the Lebanese border, vowing to keep fighting

They say they have fought against terrorists for years, and will continue to do so, despite the 'betrayal' of the SAA high command. They will start fighting as resistance groups to the incoming HTS / SNA government.

The commander in the video says they are ready to sacrifice themselves, he even says they have suicide bombers among them and that his pistol's last bullet will be for his head (he won't let himself be captured).

They have also replaced their chant. Instead of saying: 'Our souls, our blood, we sacrifice for Bashar', they now say 'our souls, our blood, we sacrifice for Syria'.

— According to most reports, the SAA 25th SMF was one of the only Syrian Arab Army units to actually put up resistance against HTS during the first few days, especially in Hama, alongside a small contingent of Iranian-backed fighters.

When Homs was about to be assaulted, Hezbollah allegedly sent a few thousand fighters to the city in the depth of night. For some reason, instructions from the SAA High Command were quickly given to them, to hand over all of their positions to the SAA, and for Hezbollah to move to the rear together with the SAA's 25th SMF. They were confused why, but of course they obeyed the order. When their positions were given to the regular units of the SAA, they abandoned them instantly, and retreated, under orders.

This is when things became clear, Hezbollah and the SAA's 25th SMF realized it was a rigged game, there was no intention to fight, obviously due to some higher up decision, so the 25th SMF was demobilized and they scattered into the outskirts of various regions in Syria, especially in the Western coastal region and the Lebanese border, and Hezbollah also went back to Lebanon.
