Blessed Sunday of St Mary of Egypt. What a lent it has been for us Orthodox around the world. Between growing parishes in Africa, the persecution of Orthodox in Ukraine, and of course our own personal experiences. Today we are reminded that it is very possible to turn away from even the most sinful life and turn to Christ and discipline ourselves to be Christ like. Truly those who persecute us and wish us harm are made in Christs image and have this same possibility so we ought to pray they turn from error. Before this however we should correct ourselves. Lent isn't only about food, but correcting our day to day actions and interactions with others.

Blessed Lazarus Saturday to you all. Today Christ rose Lazarus from the tomb after 4 days of death. Christ today shows us both of his natures. His human nature, which wept for the death of his friend Lazarus, and his divine nature which rose Lazarus from the tomb. I hope you guys are preparing for Palm Sunday and holy week ahead. God bless.
Blessed Palm Sunday! Christ today enters into Jerusalem and is met by a crowd of Jews who wish to greet him. He arrives on a donkey and has palm leaves thrown at where he walks which is why we have this tradition today. The vesperal service of Palm Sunday marks the official beginning of Holy Week, a time where we prepare for Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. The pharisees began their plot against Christ after the raising of Lazarus and many of the Jews who greeted him today abandoned him or even persecuted him later on. Let us not be like them, rather let us cling to Christ and struggle through Holy week. Id you can try making most of the services, if not go to the ones later on in the week starting Wednesday. God bless and may the fruit which comes from this week be everso fruitful, filled with blessings from God.

Israel cancels Gaza Christians' travel permits for Orthodox Easter - report
Amid recent tensions at the Gaza, Lebanon and Syria borders boiling over, Israel reportedly canceled travel permits for Gazan Christians for the upcoming feast.
In late February, Vladyka was subject to searches and a criminal case was opened on him under Article 161 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code. Nothing of substance was found but the main concern was his call to "inciting interfaith hatred" (by saying that UOC is the only canonical church there).
Later in March 2023, another criminal case under Article 236 Part 2 and 3 was opened, accusing the Metropolitan of being a collaborator or separatist because the website of the Cherksay Diocese had an old link at the bottom of the website to the Moscow Patriarchate (a link which no longer works as the website is blocked in Ukraine anyway).
Now, April 12th, the court in Cherkasy decided to send Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv under round-the-clock house arrest with an electronic bracelet. the UOC lawyers are already preparing an appeal to the court.
According to a statement by Vladyka, he says he may face 5-8 years in prison, regardless, he will never abandon his flock and will not seek political asylum. "The captain is the last to leave the ship"
