Sorry for slow posts this week. Tommie has been sick for several days and I've been busy to put it mildly.
We've been working on silvopasture development and it seems the more trees that get cleared, the more there is to go. The first picture is just a small area, but I counted at least 23 stumps. You can slay the trees pretty fast, but the cleanup is tremendously time consuming. Especially when you're doing most of the work with no heavy equipment. Mostly a chainsaw, pull saws, axes and my nephews hatchet, and our hands and backs. Realistically, this process is going to take quite some time. Maybe 2 or 3 years. No overnight successes for sure. But we can see some progress and that is encouraging.
