Створений у 2015 році для полегшення навантаження на спецназ "GSG 9" і "SEK"; підтримка їх груп у разі тривалих/особливих терористичних ситуацій і пошукових заходів, має можливість самостійно вжити заходи у випадку затримки розгортання інших, а також охорона громадського порядку. Відділ налічує близко 250 осіб.
