CFD simulation of a cooling tower using wind-breaker
by Tohid Moghimi
SIMPAL GROUP
---------------------------
🔻One of the most important issues of #cooling towers is the #blocking of outlet air at the top of the tower and decreasing the performance in high-speed upstream wind flows.
🔻In this project, I used an aerodynamic concept that shows the #separation of flow around the cylinder starts between 120 to 130 degrees.
🔻Based on this idea and using #CFD simulation, I designed a wind_breaker wall with some intake for this cooling tower which assumed the intakes are open after 120 degree. This helps the inside air to escape from the back side and the performance of the cooling tower increases!

Spray nozzles are an essential component in various applications, from agriculture to industrial cleaning. They are designed to control the flow, direction, and characteristics of a fluid stream.
Here's a brief overview of different types of spray nozzles:
#Flat_Fan Nozzles: Known for their mountain-shaped pattern, these nozzles produce a flat, even distribution of liquid. They are commonly used for spraying water or chemicals and are suitable for cleaning and cooling applications
#Hollow_Cone Nozzles: These nozzles create a donut-shaped spray pattern and are ideal for applications requiring good atomization of liquids at low pressure. They are often used for humidification, dust control, and cooling gases
#Full_Cone Nozzles: Producing a full cone-shaped pattern, these nozzles distribute liquid evenly throughout the entire circular area. They are used for washing, rinsing, cooling, and fire protection
Feel free to contact for design, simulation and manufacturing any types of spray nozzle
