Samsung unveiled the Galaxy XR mixed reality headset โ the first Android XR helmet created in collaboration with Google. The device weighs about 540 g, equipped with six external cameras for hand tracking and four internal cameras for the eyes.
It features two micro-OLED 4K displays with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a 109ยฐ field of view. Inside is a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip and the Gemini neuroassistant integrated into the Android XR system. Battery life is up to 2.5 hours, and the price is $1799 compared to $3499 for the Apple Vision Pro.
