a rising pop star, stuart bale. they found herself sharing a train ride with the pop star. oh, he mistook julie for a fan. julie, although annoyed, had done the right thing by returning his phone. until the train was stopped by snow-covered tracks, forcing julie to decide: walk home alone or with him. stuart, feeling guilty for assuming like a total jerk, decided to join her.
they ended up in a local diner, where their conversation started to peel back the layers
of their lives. as the snowflakes silently fall—floating down one by one.

julie sat across from stuart, the weight of her future bearing down on her. she had been accepted to columbia, her dream school, but it came at a cost—her mother’s health was deteriorating. if she waited, feared losing the scholarship that promised a fresh start.
stuart: “you have to decide, julie. sometimes you have to let go of one thing to hold on to cling onto another. like the snowflakes, they fall together but scatter in different directions. you must adhere where they lead.”
despite the stress and circumstances, they nearly had a kiss when stuart’s publicist arrived to drive him back to the hotel after they had visited julie’s house to meet her mother. they saw a chance to bring together their separate worlds at that brief—hers as a teenager facing a tough decision regarding her future, his as a pop star. it was a chance to find solace in one another, a brief escape from their complex lives.
it left her with a glimmer of hope for
