Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will return.

The great scholar of Hadith, Shaykh Rabee b. Haadee al-Madkhali has passed away.

May Allah forgive him, expand his grave, and grant him al-Firdous al-Alaa.

He was criticized by some for merely clarifying what opposed the Quran and Sunnah. He was mocked and labeled in the same way as the prophets and righteous individuals who came before him.

Yet, he only pointed out that which opposed the Truth, and he advised to be gentle with the Muslims. Some of the zealous and hasty youth in age and/or knowledge acted otherwise, and these few tarnished his reputation among some.

But those who actually learned from the Shaykh and studied with his students knows exactly how merciful and caring he truly was رحمه الله.

He is free from the extremists, those who went overboard with his name making him a legislative evidence in the Shari’ah. He was only an Imam of Sunnah just like those before him. And everyone's statement is accepted or rejected except the Prophet

Today we have lost a mountain, similar to the mountains of his time like: Sh. Albani, Sh. Ibn Uthaymeen, Sh. Ibn Baaz, & Sh. Muqbil

May Allah have mercy on Shaykh Rabee, pardon his errors, accept his contributions to Islam & his struggles in only defending the deen by propagating the truth and warding off falsehood, and grant him the best rewards. Allahumma aameen.

Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ud (radhiAllaahu anhu) said :

"The death of a scholar is a loss that cannot be replaced for as long as the day and night alternate.”

Shu’ab al-Imān 1590
Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said:

يا أهل السنة، هاأنتم ترون كثرة موت العلماء رحمهم الله أجمعين، وفي موتهم عبرة،
O Ahl al-Sunnah, here you are witnessing the many deaths of the scholars – may Allah have mercy on them all – and in their death is a lesson,

So fear Allah regarding your scholars, seek forgiveness for those who have died from among them, and do not forget them,

And supplicate for the living among them, and benefit from them,

And attend their gatherings, and spread their good qualities,

And spread the knowledge of the deceased and the living among them,

For by Allah, their knowledge is like rainfall – pure, it brings forth good and crushes evil.

Does leaving it as it is go against the Hadith, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty”? 🌿
