From MiUI to AOSP:
1 - Reboot to fastboot
2 - Flash recovery
3 - Reboot to recovery (using power + volume up)
4 - Flash firmware + ROM (+ GAPPS + Magisk)
5 - Format data
6 - Reboot to system
From custom AOSP to custom AOSP:
1 - Reboot to recovery
2 - Flash firmware + ROM (+ GAPPS + Magisk)
3 - Format data
4 - Reboot to system
Update custom AOSP:
1 - Reboot to recovery
2 - Wipe data (optional)
3 - Flash firmware + ROM (+ GAPPS + Magisk)
4 - Reboot to system
Notes:
* These are generic guidelines. Always follow dev's specific instructions, if they differ from this guide.
* We've been wiping system and vendor since Pie, but this is actually not recommended by several sources, including TeamWin (https://twrp.me/faq/whattowipe.html). So, unless there is some issue with the update process, let's leave them alone.
