شب یلدا یا شب چله یکی از کهن‌ترین جشن‌های ایرانی است که در طولانی‌ترین شب سال، یعنی شب اول زمستان (سی‌ام آذرماه)، برگزار می‌شود. یلدا به معنای "تولد" است و ریشه در زبان سریانی دارد و به تولد خورشید یا روشنایی اشاره دارد.
ریشه تاریخی
جشن یلدا از دوران باستان، به ویژه دوره ایران باستان و آئین‌های مهرپرستی (میترائیسم)، به یادگار مانده است. در این شب، ایرانیان باستان پایان فصل تاریکی (پاییز) و آغاز تولد نور (زمستان و طولانی شدن روزها) را جشن می‌گرفتند. آن‌ها اعتقاد داشتند که پس از این شب، روزها طولانی‌تر و خورشید پرقدرت‌تر می‌شود.

هوا در ایستگاه "آفتاب" پر از هیجان بود. فضانوردان ایرانی، که تعدادشان کم نبود، تصمیم گرفته بودند شب یلدا را حتی در این شرایط غیرعادی جشن بگیرند. مریم، یکی از دانشمندان ایرانی مستقر در ایستگاه، مسئولیت برگزاری این جشن را بر عهده گرفته بود. او با دقت و خلاقیت، بخش کوچکی از سالن اصلی ایستگاه را به فضایی شبیه خانه‌های ایرانی تبدیل کرده بود.

بر روی میز شناوری که در مرکز سالن قرار داشت، نمادهای یلدا چیده شده بودند: هندوانه‌های کوچک که به‌طور خاص برای فضا طراحی شده بودند، بسته‌های فشرده انار، و حتی آجیل‌هایی که با بسته‌بندی مخصوص، در برابر جاذبه صفر ایمن بودند. نورهای رنگارنگ نیز فضا را گرم‌تر و صمیمی‌تر کرده بود.

مهمانان غیرمنتظره

شب آغاز شد. فضانوردان از ملیت‌های مختلف دور میز جمع شدند. هرکدام با کنجکاوی به خوراکی‌های ایرانی نگاه می‌کردند و مریم با لبخند توضیح می‌داد که هرکدام از این خوراکی‌ها چه معنایی دارند. ناگهان صدای بیپ بلند شد و چراغ‌های هشدار ایستگاه روشن شدند. همه ساکت شدند. کاپیتان ایستگاه، که مردی آرام اما جدی بود، به سمت مرکز کنترل رفت. او پس از چند دقیقه برگشت و با صدایی آرام گفت:

"به نظر می‌رسد که یک سیگنال ناشناس از نزدیکی ایستگاه دریافت کرده‌ایم."

همه با نگرانی به یکدیگر نگاه کردند. مریم، که همیشه عاشق داستان‌های علمی-تخیلی بود، با هیجان گفت:
"شاید این یک موجود فضایی باشد که می‌خواهد در جشن یلدا شرکت کند!"

بقیه خندیدند، اما کاپیتان تصمیم گرفت که گروهی کوچک برای بررسی سیگنال آماده شوند.

کشف شگفت‌انگیز

پس از چند ساعت، گروهی از فضانوردان به سمت منبع سیگنال فرستاده شدند. آن‌ها در کمال تعجب، یک سفینه کوچک و ناشناخته پیدا کردند که در نزدیکی ایستگاه شناور بود. سفینه به نظر می‌رسید کهنه و آسیب‌دیده باشد، اما هنوز فعال بود.

وقتی درِ سفینه باز شد، همه با موجودی عجیب و کوچک روبه‌رو شدند که چشمانی درخشان و پوستی شفاف داشت. موجود، که به نظر می‌رسید بی‌خطر باشد، با صدای ملایمی گفت:
"من از سیاره‌ای دور هستم و سیگنال‌های شما را دریافت کردم. آیا می‌توانم به شما ملحق شوم؟"

مریم، با لبخندی گرم، موجود فضایی را به داخل ایستگاه دعوت کرد. او توضیح داد که این شب، شب یلدا است و ما روی زمین آن را جشن می‌گیریم.

یک شب یلدای فراموش‌نشدنی

موجود فضایی، که خودش را "زارا" معرفی کرد، به‌سرعت با دیگران دوست شد. او با شگفتی به خوراکی‌های یلدا نگاه می‌کرد و وقتی اولین دانه انار را امتحان کرد، چشمانش برق زد. زارا گفت که در سیاره خودش، هیچ میوه‌ای وجود ندارد و طعم انار برایش مثل جادویی بود.

در ادامه، مریم دیوان حافظ کوچکی را که با خود آورده بود، باز کرد و به زارا پیشنهاد داد تا فال بگیرد. زارا با هیجان موافقت کرد و وقتی شعر حافظ برایش خوانده شد، با صدایی ملایم گفت:
"این شعر به من امید می‌دهد. شاید روزی بتوانیم بین سیاره‌های ما و شما پل بزنیم و جشن‌های بیشتری را با هم برگزار کنیم."

پایان شب و آغاز دوستی

شب یلدا در ایستگاه "آفتاب" به یادماندنی‌ترین شب برای همه شد. زارا به نمادی از دوستی میان انسان‌ها و موجودات دیگر تبدیل شد. مریم، با نگاه به ستارگان، با خود فکر کرد که یلدا فقط یک شب نیست؛ بلکه فرصتی است برای نزدیک‌تر شدن دل‌ها، حتی اگر فاصله‌ها به اندازه کهکشان‌ها باشد.
