In this podcast we discuss these common mistakes made by many of us, Iranians when speaking English:

There once was a girl who lived in a land where they killed people for wearing their clothes wrong. I don't know what her dreams were, but she certainly had quite a few of them. I don't know what she feared most, but she certainly hadn't thought of being bludgeoned to death by her country's police. I don't know if she was in love. I hope she was. I don't know if she had experienced joy. I hope she had.

Then, she was murdered. The dreams she had would never come true. The love she harbored would be buried, or so they thought. From the dust on her body rose a scent. It was not the smell of death, or fear, but rage. The smell surged through the country that had treated her horribly, the one that had smothered her dreams.

From her grave rose the will to overcome. The will travelled through the world in a mere moment and burned every Iranian with the mark of revenge. They started dreaming of her, and for her. Her peers, the ever-oppressed young Iranian girls, roared and took wing. In their wake, they became her. Her dreams became their dreams. Then, one by one, men joined the dreamers. Now, the entire country dares to dream again.
Dream we will.
Dream we must!
