Paid Messages And Premium For Stars

In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.8, users received several new features related to stars.

• Paid Messages
Any user with a Telegram Premium subscription can set a price that any of their interlocutors will have to pay for sending a message in a private chat. You can set the price in the section "Settings › Privacy and Security › Messages". In the same section, you can set up exceptions: specify users who can send messages for free. You will receive 85% of all stars paid by their interlocutors, and the remaining 15% is the platform's commission.

• Withdrawal of Stars
Users will be able to withdraw stars from their personal balance. The corresponding button is already available in the "My stars" section, but does not work yet.

• Premium For Stars
Now you can pay for a gift subscription to Telegram Premium with stars. A three-month subscription costs 1,000 stars, a six-month subscription costs 1,500, and an annual subscription costs 2,500.

In addition, the application now allows you to pin gifts to your profile. To do this, go to the "My Profile" section, go to the "Gifts" tab, press and hold the desired gift, and then select the desired item in the menu that appears.

All functions are currently available only on the test server.

More Details About Your Chat Partner

The beta version of Telegram for Android 11.8 now provides additional information about users who start conversations with you.

The app now displays:

• The country that issued the user's phone number
• The month and year of their account registration
• The number of mutual groups
• If the account is Telegram official one
• Third party verification status.
• If account profile picture was changes in last few days.

Broadcasting Content From Telegram Using Google Cast

The beta version of Telegram for Android 11.8 introduced support for the Google Cast protocol (formerly known as Chromecast). This allows users to stream and control the playback of media directly from the Telegram app to a device that supports the Google Cast protocol.

At the moment, this function only works for photos and videos in the media viewer and music in the music playback interface. For now, casting photos may only be done when initiating a cast with a video.

Collectible Gifts in Profile Backgrounds

The beta version of Telegram for Android 11.8 now allows you to pin up to 6 collectible gifts. Collectible gifts may be pinned by long pressing them in “My Profile › Gifts” and then pressing “Pin”.

Pinned gifts are displayed not only at the top of the “Gifts” tab, but also as small previews in the user's profile header. When you tap on a gift in the profile header, the app displays information about that collectible gift.
