Hey - did you know there's an actively maintained tool that allows you to scrape PACER pretty easily? No reason, but it is pretty interesting.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm doing a little data journalism tonight.
Much has been said about Operation Chokepoint 2.0 (OCP2), but very little about the opening front of that war: the war on p2p/OTC.
In fact, some pundits don't consider it part of the operation.
I do, however. And it's been largely undocumented, because it involved many little guys no one has heard of going to prison to establish the case law that essentially outlawed peer to peer transactions.
I'm going to make sure not a single name goes unchecked.

SEC Crypto Task Force head Hester Pierce says, “Many of the memecoins that are out there probably do not have a home in the SEC under our current set of regulations.”
So apparently we're going to get a live streamed tour of Fort Knox to determine if the gold is all there.

US Senate confirms pro-crypto Howard Lutnick as Secretary of Commerce

DOJ Just Shook Up the Deep State – And It’s Bullish for Crypto
Big move from the DOJ: they’re saying presidents should be able to fire administrative law judges (ALJs) at will, just like they argued for independent agency heads. Translation? Regulators like the SEC just got put on notice.
Why This Matters for Crypto:
- SEC’s enforcement playbook is at risk. They rely on ALJs to hit crypto firms with fines. If these judges can be replaced more easily, enforcement could shift—or collapse entirely.
- Regulation by enforcement gets harder. The SEC might be forced to fight in federal courts, where crypto firms have a better shot at winning.
- Future administrations get more control. A pro-crypto White House could gut anti-crypto regulators overnight.
What’s Trump’s Play Here?
This is unitary executive theory in action**—making sure bureaucrats answer to the president, not the other way around. Trump’s been gunning for this for years, calling it a way to **kill deep state resistance and push policy without roadblocks.
The Big Picture
If this sticks, crypto’s fate will be tied more than ever to who’s in the White House. That’s a double-edged sword—but for now, the SEC’s unchecked war on crypto just took a hit.

I've tested this. It's on par if not better than OpenAI's Deep Research.
