$10k MRR at SavvyNomad.io and how did we do it? 💵
by a pessimistic scenario, we should reach this milestone in May, by optimistic in March, and here we are in December
how?
1) find the problem that people are trying to solve but can't
2) build a solution better than any competition
3) provide great support
simple, but not easy
more details next week in the monthly report video on YouTube
P.S.: how is my dance?

I made my dream a reality by visiting Antarctica 🇦🇶
it was my 5th out of 7 continents ✅
I just got back from an epic 10-day cruise, where I checked out glaciers and icebergs and cruised through the famous Drake Passage
I got up close with penguins, spotted some seals and humpback whales, and even took the plunge with a polar dip in the frigid waters! 🐧🌊
if Antarctica isn’t on your bucket list yet, trust me—it should be

2024 wins and fails 👇
the end of the year is a perfect time to reflect on the past 12 months and adjust your trajectory for the future
here’s my honest look back at what went well, what could be improved, and what I should celebrate
what was good for SavvyNomad:
• $267 -> $12K MRR (14% of $1M ARR goal)
• $93,000 in revenue
• met my co-founder for the first time in real life, and our connection grew stronger
• hired our first employee and set up an office—big steps for scale
• received overwhelmingly positive customer feedback, with only one 4-star review and all others being 5-stars
• met a customer in person, which was a rewarding and motivating experience.
what we could improve in SavvyNomad:
• financial reporting and projections: we need to become more mature in tracking and managing our finances. regular financial reporting, creating better projections, and maintaining a detailed balance sheet are priorities.
• cash flow management: monitoring cash flow is essential to ensure stability and better decision-making.
• infrastructure: as we scale marketing efforts, our infrastructure must keep pace (a good problem to have)
what was good for me:
• traveled to 9 new countries: Canada, USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, Argentina
• watched an NBA game live
• rode rovers in the desert
• witnessed an erupting volcano
• explored three new continents and iconic spots like Antarctica, Machu Picchu, Niagara Falls, and Patagonia
• had countless beautiful hikes and adventures in nature
• met incredible people and had meaningful conversations
• got my first tattoo
• adopted daily exercise and stretching, which felt euphoric and deeply rewarding
• started learning Spanish and finished the A1 level
• started reflecting weekly and practicing gratitude every morning.
• set life goals for the next three years.
• learned to embrace and express creativity through YouTube, publishing 18 videos, got ~10,000 views
what I can improve in life:
• eat less processed food and sweets
• meditate more and read more frequently
• stop eating earlier in the evening to improve sleep
• set clearer personal boundaries and let some people go
what I celebrate:
• I’m alive and happy
• I was brave enough to leave my home and embark on a long-term travel adventure
• I’ve been honest and open with others, even when it was hard.
• my body is healthy and improving every day
• I’ve been able to experience the beauty of our planet.
• my Spanish is progressing, and I’m embracing creativity through my videos
• my business is growing, and I’m supported by an amazing partner and friends/family
• I’m surrounded by supportive, inspiring people
• I’m living the lifestyle I once dreamed of with no regrets
• I’ve become wiser and more grounded this year
big thanks to everyone who has been there for me this year—whether you cheered me on, offered advice, or just hung out with me ❤️

$200 → $12,500 MRR in 2024 (+6,150% YoY), here’s how we did it 👇
in 2024, we added over $12,000 in MRR and made $95,000 in revenue
no external funding, no employees
what made the difference:
product
→ clear value proposition targeting big pain: we help Americans abroad save on taxes and manage residential addresses. most of our market is underserved. customers instantly understand the value—no long explanations needed. many told us they wished we existed earlier because they overpaid in taxes
→ exceptional support: fast, friendly service is part of the product:
↳ instant in-chat responses
↳ free calls with founders
↳ customers trust us—only one four-star review; all others are five stars
→ competitive edge: we’re a premium, tech-first product with a seamless UI. even after raising prices 20%-35%, we attracted the same number of new customers and saw more sign-ups for higher tiers
→ fast iterations: speed builds trust. a new mail tab design shipped in 2 hours. we launch updates constantly. Jameson Rader is a beast
marketing
→ content as a product: simple, valuable articles brought 4,000 monthly organic visitors and became a major growth driver
→ marketing synergy: organic content funded Google Ads, which scales faster. learnings from both channels complement each other, driving growth
→ customer connection: weekly calls (10+) help us gather feedback, refine messaging, and iterate rapidly
→ new use cases: November launch targeting Americans abroad needing a U.S. address became a top growth driver, same product, just different packaging
→ positioning matters: fresh, tech-first branding and clear messaging help us stand out. customers praise our copy and landing pages for answering their needs effectively

traveling made me realize how little stuff I need
I’m not a minimalist traveler—some people get by with a carry-on, but that’s not for me
I travel with luggage because I cross different climates and bring stuff that makes my life easier and better
→ portable smoothie maker, aeropress, yoga mat - makes my life easier and better
→ night lamp, music speaker my friends gifted me years ago - makes me feel at home
→ microphone, camera, drone, lights—to capture all the moments
back when I lived in a two-bedroom apartment, it was so easy to clutter, shop, and accumulate stuff I didn’t need
↳ having more space made it harder to resist.
but now, with just one suitcase and backpack, I feel like I have everything I truly need
and honestly, it feels freeing
no more stress or anxiety from having too much stuff
I’ve learned to be intentional about what I own

thank you to all our customers—you’re the reason we’re here. you trust us, you pay us, and you make this possible
shoutout to my co-founder Jameson and everyone who has contributed along the way
you all made this happen
but let’s be real—I also owe a special thank you to my past employers. you’re the ones who pushed me to the point where I said, f*ck this, I’m done building someone else’s dream
you gave me the frustration, the exhaustion, and the undeniable rage to go all in
and to the investors who ghosted me during my previous startup?
who wasted my time, strung me along, and never even had the decency to give real feedback?
thank you
because you made one thing crystal clear—I never wanted to beg for permission again
I never wanted to be at someone else’s mercy. you helped me realize that bootstrapping was the way
that I don’t need you
so here we are. $20K MRR. just warming up
and finally—thank YOU
