INTRODUCING FARMING!

The Butterfly Protocol team has always been exploring and working on new ways in which we could give incentives to BFLY holders. Today, we are excited to announce that farming of the BFLY token will be available for the next 2 months on the Unicrypt platform. This was the optimal solution for farming the BFLY token since it provides a simple solution to allow everyone to access these benefits. Giving this amazing incentive will give more reasons for people to hold BFLY and contribute to our exciting journey. May starts in an amazing way for Butterfly Protocol and from the team, we can confirm that it will be the best month for our project as we will be able to reach huge milestones. Stay tuned for the next couple of weeks because we will be constantly releasing new information over improvements in all parts of the project.

DETAILS
For the farming, we have allocated 100k BFLY which will be available for farming them throughout the next 2 months. Estimated APYs have shown us that they will probably be really high; however, this is not something the team can control. The amount of BFLY holders deposit on the pool will determine these percentages. Important to notice that people who join the pool during the first week will enjoy a 2x bonus. As we mentioned, this program will only be available for 2 months but we believe that this is an amazing program therefore if it is successful, we will most likely continue it in the future. Farming will start this Friday!

Letter to the Butterfly Protocol Community

Price of a token – Over time it reflects value. In the short term, it is not a reflection of real value but of perceived value. And in most cases, higher prices need to be earned. I am the first to admit that the Butterfly Protocol token is reflecting that fact that Butterfly has not earned the value that it can be in the market. At the same time, I also see it as very undervalued based on its potential.

Butterfly has:
• Launched the Top-Level Domain (TLD) acquisition platform
• Ability for all to buy in on the distribution of subBFLYs tokens through the auction process
• Ability to claim subBFLYs for holders of BFLY
• Registration capability for acquiring blockchain domains from a TLD
• Yield Farming for BFLY holders
• Several exchanges for acquiring or selling BFLY
• Private sponsorship of a TLD for more complete control
• Formed strategic partnerships with projects like StackOS.
• Created innovation fund of 1.5m BFLY to support projects building on Butterfly Protocol.

Butterfly has not:
• Made it extremely easy to understand how to sponsor a TLD
• Created a very friendly user interface for the sponsorship of TLDs and acquisition of domains
• Launched browser extensions
• Integrated domains with wallets for ID on exchanges
• Created a custom browser

All this said, we are committed to the development of all the pieces needed to get us on par with ENS, Unstoppable Domains and Handshake. And then pass them using our advantages that will help us win long term such as:
• Anyone with enough BFLY can sponsor a TLD. Yes, anyone. Not just the owners of the Unstoppable Domains as a company; not just the management of the ENS DAO and not just the Handshake team. Anyone. True decentralized control.
• The community participates in TLD creation. In the short term, gas prices make this costly to claim but we are working on that too.
• As a DAO, we can also create opportunities for the community to participate in other advances as they are developed.

Butterfly has also recently added team members to specifically work on projects that advance the above. The battle for a decentralized internet is too important to lose and Butterfly is committed to being a major part of this fight.
