The last day of winter opens the doors to art born from pain and hope. On February 28 at 18:30, we invite you to the opening of the exhibition «Blooming for nothing».
The exhibition will feature works created over the past five years in various techniques, from oil on canvas to installations. Many of these pieces were shaped by dramatic events in Belarus and worldwide. They symbolically and surrealistically reflect the fragility of the world, lost homes, destruction, and death.
In 2025, the series «Black» began, exploring the darker sides of the human soul, including the artist's own. How do we distinguish between the black we embrace, knowing there is no light without it, and the black we fear, where suffering and death reside?
Yet, even in the heaviest of times, life continues. We breathe, love, befriend, paint, and sing, like a flower that blooms for no reason, simply because it must. And no one doubts that this is beautiful.
At the opening, three songs will be performed:
✨«Black» — a song by Lera Lazuk, complementing the «Black» series.
✨«Blooming for nothing» — a song revealing the concept and title of the exhibition.
✨«High Art» — a cover of the song by Neuro Dzubel, resonating with the exhibition’s theme.
Lera Lazuk is an artist from Minsk who graduated from the Glebov Art College and the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. In 2022, she left Belarus for safety reasons. She now lives and works in Vilnius, experimenting with various forms and techniques. Her work sincerely explores the spectrum of human emotions, including those hidden in the subconscious, in dreams, or in visions beyond rational explanation.
