@nkhaugen @AlexLuck9: To me, it has seemed there is a political wish to get work done in Norway, also on the frigates. This, along with the link to the US, and here the Trump admin can tilt it both ways, has made me think, for a long time, that the odds are in favor of the Constellation-class.

Looking purely at what's best for the Navy, T-26 and UK/Royal Navy as a strategic partner would probably be the best pick. On the strategic level, with turmoil in America, this would also be a good move.

Perhaps now, with the Centre Party out of government, picking T-26 and letting the Norwegian industry be content with the two standard classes is a bit more likely.

Of course, this is just my thinking. Have no idea of what's actually going on besides what we can read in the media.

1983 was the year of the sub hunt in Sunnhordland.

In late April/early May, Oslo-class frigates and P-3 Orion's engaged several POSSUB contacts, with rather liberal use of Terne ASW rockets and depth charges.

RT @shashj: More encouraging. '...'EU governments are exploring ways to include the UK and Norway in a “coalition of the willing” dedicated to expanding the continent’s defences, while circumventing militarily neutral and Russia-friendly capitals.'

/7. Another version from media is that the IED could have been installed in a sofa or armchair standing in the hallway of the entrance. The nature of the injuries allegedly indicates this. Also, according to preliminary data, the power of the explosive device planted in was 300-400 grams of TNT equivalent.

RT @blagden_david: @AaronBastani: UK nuclear weapons don’t have a Permissive Action Link:

So how the US Government is supposed to stop a Royal Navy submarine from firing its missiles when even the UK Government can’t stop a Royal Navy submarine from firing its missiles remains a mystery. https://twitter.com/AaronBastani/status/1886142107821211780#m
