Good Sunday.
The rise of furries, therians, and otherkin in modern alternative spaces can be directly attributed to the rise of modern Christian nationalism and humanism, which stands in direct opposition to integration and association with the natural and animal world. Whereas in the animistic past, association with fellow animals was commonplace, modern white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism sees nature as a thing to dominate, and totemism and druidry as Satanic.

The existence of Georgia (the country, not the state) alone disproves the existence of race. Neither Asia nor Europe are real. Look at the two and, without seeing a bordered map, tell me where one ends and the other begins.
The only continents with clearly defined natural borders are Africa and Australia, and Australia is hanging on by a thread due to its inclusion of nearby islands. We had to force a border on Africa, the Suez Canal. There is more genetic diversity between two people in Ghana than there are between two people from completely different continents.
All country and continental borders are lies; they're just lies that are very easy for those in power to use to keep us occupied while they jam their boots on our neck.

Good Tyr's Day.
Your faithful druid admin, Gabriel Hex, is now also an Ordained Minister of the Church of Gnome. This means I can officiate weddings. I hope to officiate as many gay pagan weddings as possible now. You're welcome.

Also because apparently some right-wing viking wannabe channel shared a post of mine recently, and I don't know which subscriber runs it, but am appalled by even the association, this channel is run by a part-Jewish, part-Romani queer anarchist.

Good Thor's Day.
I am learning today just how connected I am to the land when the barometric pressure from the downpour of rain outside hurt my bones so badly I had to retreat to the couch. Yuck.

Good Frigg's Day.
A day early but... I am very officially operating within my Saturn return. Life circumstances have made that clear. Rather than attempt to fight the process, because I simply don't have the mental capacity to do otherwise, I have decided to make a point to honor Saturn within my practice and druidic lens.
Seems I was so focused on placing myself as the antithesis of order that I forgot every morning the sun comes up and every evening the sun goes down, that every year has equinoxes, that every year the trees lose their leaves and every year they gain them back. I was so against the order of the fascist that I forgot the rhythm of the Earth.
Maybe a rhythm will do me good.

A quick ooc note: if you follow up the statement "I support [insert minority]" with "unless", you don't support that minority.
For the lefties getting ready to yell "yass gorl", that most definitely includes "I support Jewish people unless they're Zionist". That's just the progressive version of the good jew/bad jew trope, the problem of which would be immediately obvious to most of the Gen Z left if they heard a conservative say they "support Jewish people unless they're antizionist". There will always be people who you disagree with and don't disagree with, and there's no particular reason that should change your support of the people at large. Yet now we have people harassing American Jews at synagogue with "Free Palestine" signs, despite Judaism as a religion not inherently relating to supporting a state government, so it clearly isn't obvious enough.
Better to just be blunt and say your support of Jews is conditional. At least people know where you stand that way.

Those in the minority doing thumbs down reactions and eyebrow raises and unsubscribing doesn't do what I think is being attempted. Pretty sure y'all were part of those who raved over me admitting to being part-Jewish when I was shitting on right-wingers.
It's always great when that faceless ethnic mutt on the internet validates your opinions but not quite as fun when you're expected to reconsider your own biases.

Now that we've gotten the people who weren't willing to talk out of the way.
I'm not "zionist" within the most common definition used by the left. That said, that term has gotten muddied like crazy in the past couple years with the rise in more open reaction to the Israeli government's actions against Palestinians. Jews calling themselves "Zionist" can refer to anyone as mild in opinion as "I think Jews should be allowed to be in that section of the Levant" which, as an anarchist, I could not nor do I want to reasonably disagree with, to someone as insane as "I think we should forcibly expel all the Palestinians from Israel and transform Israel into an ethnic nation-state with Palestinians in concentration camps". And because the Left as a whole has decided anyone who calls themselves that is probably in the latter category, it has resulted in talking over actual Jews who have been trying to tell them otherwise. Most people describing themselves as Zionist are in the first group and, admittedly, are getting a fairly constructed version of how Israel as a government came to be.
It certainly isn't helped that the Left as a whole has turned this into some white colonizer vs brown colonized conversation when, in reality, Jewish people and Palestinians lived alongside each other for centuries before Israel as a governing body came to exist, and the vast majority of Jewish people in Israel are NOT white. There are more African Jews in Israel than there are white-passing people. Even the majority of Ashkenazi Jews (which is barely 30% of the population) in Israel do not pass for white, because it is safer for non-white-passing Jews to be in Israel than in the US, generally.
So with that in mind I definitely am not going to call myself antizionist on the internet, even though am aggressively against the systematic expulsion of and attacks against Palestinians by the IDF, not just because to most Jews saying I'm "antizionist" is saying they shouldn't be allowed to be in Israel, but because there are so many right-wingers who've discovered they can say violently antiemetic shit on the internet and just replace "Jew" with "Zionist" and most progressives will agree with them without a second thought.
Seriously, next time you see someone railing on "Zionists" in a comment section, replace it with "Jew" and see if you still agree.
Alongside this, even if someone actually IS the more outrageous version of a Zionist, such as Ben Shapiro and Gal Gadot, I still can't tolerate antisemitism targeted at them just because I disagree with them. I still support their Jewishness even if I don't support their viewpoints.
And THAT will likely end my thoughts on the subject for a while now.
