We have a dream: that people will see the chaos around them and decide that they—and their neighbors, their communities, and future generations—deserve better. That they’ll choose care, equity, and justice, not just for themselves, but for all.

from the comments response:

“don't feature AOC”

I get the frustration with AOC’s failure on Gaza—it’s real, and it matters. But we can’t afford to operate in absolutes here. Politicians are inherently flawed, and while we should absolutely hold them accountable, we also need to weigh the nuance: who does less harm and who aligns more with humanity, even if imperfectly? AOC has disappointed us, but she’s still far less chaotic and harmful than others in her sphere. Dismissing her entirely misses the opportunity to engage critically and strategically with the complex reality we’re navigating.

One of the most terrifying aspects of Pierre Poilievre is that he doesn’t present his far-right agenda in the same way Donald Trump does. Trump’s brash, loud, and openly inflammatory behavior makes his extremism more immediately recognizable, even to those who may not follow politics closely. In contrast, Pierre’s younger, calmer, and more polished demeanor masks the same dangerous ideologies, making them harder to spot. Canadians, who are more familiar with the overt chaos of U.S. politics, might dismiss Pierre at first glance because he doesn’t “look” or “act” like Trump. But this is precisely what makes him more dangerous: his ability to present far-right ideas under a veneer of politeness and respectability allows his agenda to slip under the radar, requiring more time and effort to unpack and understand the threat he poses.
