"what "concerned" parents are really concerned about is that more kids and young people are comfortable identifying as LGBTQ.
"they think this is the result of brainwashing in schools.
"rather than, oh i don't know, progress in not making being LGBTQ a bad thing" source

Easy practices to adapt in the classroom.
These practices are easy switches to make to the work you are already doing in the classroom! Changing your language to be more inclusive isn't a burden, it's an opportunity to build relationships with all of your students! 🌹WHAT TO TELL THE CHILDREN WORKSHOP THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 1st, 10am-12pm PST🌹
Through our work, I have had the privilege of hearing from families incredible stories of struggle. These stories have given me profound insight into how tremendously strong and courageous our people are.
But when we find ourselves in moments of uncertainty, it can be hard to tap into that strength and courage. And when the uncertainty of the world starts to impact the security, wellbeing, and peace of our children, it can be hard to know what to say.
We want to help our families navigate these conversations with care. And so Saturday, we will be hosting a workshop, What to Tell the Children, to do just that. Details down below 👇🏽

Our What to Tell the Children workshop will be a discussion on how to communicate with children about complex political issues, emphasizing empathy, understanding, and hope. ✨✨✨ source

Been thinking a lot about what I want for our world, and what I want for my children and all other children. #AllChildrenAreOurChildren
I take my role as as parent more and more seriously with every passing day. What I do and what I say has major consequence. My relationship to them, who I am as an example for them, is everything to me.
When my children ask what I did during this time, they’ll already know exactly what I did. And they’ll know why I did it. And they’ll might be doing it by then too. #teachingresistance source
