Verse 7

Arabic: إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا

Transliteration: Innaa ja'alnaa ma 'alal ardi zeenatal-lahaa linabluwahum ayyuhum ahsanu 'amalaa

Translation: We have indeed made whatever is on earth as an adornment for it, in order to test which of them is best in deeds.

Verse 7

Verse 8

Arabic: وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا

Transliteration: Wa innaa la jaa'iloona maa 'alaihaa sa'eedan juruzaa

Translation: And We will certainly reduce whatever is on it to barren ground.

Verse 8

Verse 9

Arabic: أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَبًا

Transliteration: Am hasibta anna as haabal kahfi war raqeemi kaanoo min aayaatinaa 'ajabaa

Translation: Have you (O Prophet) thought that the people of the cave and the inscription were (the only) wonders of Our signs?

Verse 9

Verse 10

Arabic: إِذْ أَوَى الْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى الْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

Transliteration: Idh awal fityatu ilal kahfi faqaaloo rabbanaaa aatinaa mil-ladunka rahmatan-wa haiyi' lanaa min amrinaa rashadaa

Translation: (Remember) when those youths took refuge in the cave, and said, “Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.”
