XII Annual "Kazneftegazservice-2025" Conference Brings Together Leaders of the Oil and Gas Industry

Atyrau, February 21, 2025 – The XII Annual "Kazneftegazservice-2025" Conference was held in Atyrau, organized by the “KazService” Association of oil service companies of Kazakhstan. This is one of the most significant industry events, traditionally bringing together top executives of major oil and gas operators, government officials, contracting organizations, and international partners.
The conference was opened by Rashid Zhaxylykov, Chairman of the KazService Presidium, who emphasized the importance of sustainable development of the oil and gas sector and the need for constructive dialogue between operators and businesses. This year, the event focused on localization, expanding the participation of Kazakhstani companies in large projects, the development of the petrochemical industry, master contracts with operators, and the optimization of procurement procedures.

Participants discussed tax policy, mechanisms to support local businesses, as well as the prospects for new petrochemical projects and international cooperation. Among the key speakers at the conference were representatives of TCO, NCOC, KPO, KKO, KMG PetroChem, Silleno, as well as international partners from Qatar, including: His Excellency Ali Al-Rayashi – Executive Board Member of VISTAS. Karthik Ramaya – Chief Operating Officer of Petrofac Qatar W.L.L..

As part of KazNefteGazService-2025, thematic sessions were held, addressing the most pressing issues of the industry.

Operators' Session – Discussion with representatives of Kazakhstan’s major oil and gas operators on the future of tax policy, contract systems, and localization mechanisms.

Major Petrogaschemical and International Projects – Presentation of initiatives for the development of the petrochemical industry and investment opportunities.

Operator Procurement – Discussion of new approaches to contract policies and opportunities for Kazakhstani companies to participate in operator projects.

One of the key elements of the conference was the B2B meetings, where local companies had the opportunity to directly discuss cooperation prospects with representatives of TCO, KPO, NCOC, KXO, Silleno, KMG PetroChem and other major industry players.

Signing of Cooperation Memorandum
During the conference, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between JSC "Situational-Analytical Center of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the “KazService” Association of oil service companies of Kazakhstan. The memorandum aims to strengthen interaction and partnership between the organizations to participate in joint projects for the development and provision of high-tech products and services for industrial enterprises in Kazakhstan’s energy sector.

The "Kazneftegazservice-2025" conference brought together about 300 participants, including representatives of over 150 Kazakhstani companies from 10 regions of the country, as well as international companies from Qatar, the UAE, and Russia.
