5.52 AM I don't know how my brain is still functioning. Maybe the caffeine from earlier this morning? Morning? It was 15:00 when I woke up. This state of disarray has never been more pronounced. But chaos makes the musing. No. It actually doesn't unless…
Not good.

It's not the romantic sleepless nights when you feel like conquering the world.

It's a horrible insomnia, and it isn't so "cool" as is implicitly thought by many.

It weakens your mental faculties, diminishes your focus and attention-span, f s up mood, and takes a considerable toll on your hair, face, and, well, your health in general.

Bottom line: "sleep early, wake up early" rule worked the best.🚶‍♂️

Liked the animation but couldn't get the code for it. Decided to recreate.

The code's in a repo

P.s. my js is very poor, so the code may look quite crappy, but do star the repo and contribute a change if you find it fit!
Next up - binomial coefficient.

I was going through some basics of stats and probability. Made a small visualizer to show the concept of binomial coefficient and its relationship with Pascal's triangle.

You can check out the code here and try it out live here.
AI is getting out of hand.

If the project used AI, let's not take the merit for it.

Programming involves intense peoblem-solving. AI just eliminates that step altogether. Platforms like cursor can code an entire website in seconds. But that eliminates the part where you think, suffer, ans grow, the one important aspect of programming.

Time to rewatch Vall-e. We seem to be becoming more like the fat guys.

I Messed up. Semester-long depression

I wish someone had tattooed on my forehead when I was in Tim Hortons eating my muffin right after my flight from Chicago. Don’t waste your time like I did. College is hyped as the best time of your life, but no one warns you about how easy it is to waste your potential

Adjust to your new environment before it adjusts you. I walked onto campus acting like I didn’t need to settle in. I ignored the importance of exploring, meeting people, or even finding where the library was. This left me feeling disoriented and out of place for months. Don’t do this—spend the first week getting comfortable, asking questions, and actually learning your surroundings.

I used to shrug off assignments like they were optional appetizers. “Losing 3-4% here and there won’t kill me,” I thought. But skipping assignments killed my confidence and rhythm. Turns out, completing small tasks builds momentum and makes the bigger challenges easier. Don’t be lazy; every point matters.

Pulling all-nighters for exams made me feel like a warrior—until I saw my grades and the brain fog that followed. Trying to learn a semester’s worth of material in one night is stupid.

Asian students are the unsung geniuses of campus. They’re disciplined, efficient, and often incredibly generous with their help. Befriending them will improve not only your academics but also your perspective on hard work. Surround yourself with smart, inspiring people—it’s contagious.

WE APPREICATE YOUR HELP!
Have we forgotten to be grateful?

There are so many blessings that God bestowed upon us, yet we feel perpetually drawn to things higher up, farther down the road, longing for ever more earthly possessions and status. Have we forgotten that the future isn't in our control; that it's only for God to know what awaits us next? It's only the present that we can mold with actions, and the past we can always be thankful for.

I think it's time to take a breather and reflect upon how far you've come - understand that a place you could only dream of some years earlier is now your reality. Regardless of where you are, your financial status, academic progress, personal life, you have come this far. Know that you could choose to cease the pain of life at any point, but you chose to bear. The fact that you kept yourself upright and animate is a big act of courage in itself.

And lastly, Так держать, комрад!
Again sleep? Yes.

I seem to have been lacking sleep for the past, well, monthS. So, this issue has been particularly pronounced in my daily life.

Feeling constant sense of fatigue, lack of direction, almost incessant brain fog. My inability to focus on a simple task I tried to shun with thoughts that this is only a bad self-perception, a mere negative self-talk.

I am a huge believer that our sub-conscious is super capable. So much so that sometimes comes a point where our mind becomes our worst enemy we never wished for and never knew would come.

But, at this point, I am quite confident that this is not perceived anymore. I am hearing Mozart in my mind - I don't want to hear Mozart when I need to work - I am getting distracted by the slightest notifications that hardly ever matter.

But, to us, progress-oriented minds, it only takes realizing our obstacle and eliminating it. Step by step gaining back the momentum.

respected for life! congrats, my brother 🫂🥂
One thing I always wanted to have is a domain name with my surname.

And here it is yulbarsov.uz

Was supposed to have it running 2 days ago but was unaware that the local domain moderators don't work on weekends.

Don't judge the website too harshly, as the content on the pages isn't fully ready. Just thought I had to launch asap.
Why Asian apps suck? aka How culture affects the UX design across the world?

You probably know Taobao, and you probably know Amazon.

Both are humongous online marketplaces, but the former's user interface leaves a lot to wish for.

Phoebe covers how culture affects the ux design across the world, and believe me, it's fascinating.

Open Data Challenge will take place in New Uzbekistan University in January. I got the second place in 2020, four years ago. It’s a great opportunity to learn and create something meaningful. I highly recommend you to join if you have a chance.

Beginning the year with a bang (to my brain).

Already overwhelmed with the unsettlingly entangled language and content rife in ancient Platonic wisdom.

I cannot fathom how people can live in the same place for their whole life. The world is so big and colorful. Leaving the country, seeking struggle novelty, and sheer adventure; experiencing the very bottom of socioeconomic ladder in an arduous attempt…
