“Love”

People throw the word around like it means nothing. They preach that they love almost everything. But, we as humanity have a love-hate relationship with the word itself. we love a lot of minuscule things. So you can imagine how pointless it seems to say we are in love with something, when we only feel a sense of amusement towards it. You’re not in love with her. You may be in love with the feeling she gives you. It amuses you. It excites you. It gives you a sense of finality in life, a way where if you died right then and there, you would die happy. You’re not in love with her. We barely realize what love even is, and yet you say it all willy-nilly. ‘Ahab’ it’s called in greek. A sense of deep attraction towards someone is generally accepted as love. But, please, don’t kid yourself. You can’t love. People are incapable of loving something to the point that they can never let go. Humanity always forgets.

The happiness they gave barely outweighed the emptiness they left behind. They could take away a smile as good as they could give it. And our hearts throbbed with undefined longing. We longed for someone we could never get again, for something that had absolutely no hope. We need to accept the fact that they don’t want anything to do with us.

No one would blame you if you went mad. At this point really, it’s expected of you. People wouldn’t look at you with distaste if you dropped dead of your own accord, if only they knew the full story that is. But the important part is, learn to come back.

When we shift our weight from one leg to the other, we find comfort in the discomfort of our seating. It’s not as soothing as a relaxing position, but we find a soft and gentle tenderness to be found in the violence and brutality of the entirety of our body sitting on our leg.

And even when you thought you were over it, you’ll feel your mind drifting back. You’ll start to remember all the shit you did together and your mind will eat you up. The clouds will blacken around your head and rain down hell fire to destroy your every aspect of what you thought you had moved on from.
