🔸Far from being temporary or targeted, sanctions and restrictions are a reality of a new development stage that the entire global economy has now entered. They are a tool designed to exert systemic and strategic pressure on Russia: our competitors will always seek to contain our country and undermine its economic and technological capabilities.
🔸There is no point in hoping for the restoration of full freedom of trade and cash flows, as there is none in counting on Western tools for protecting the rights of investors and entrepreneurs. It is crucial for Russian businesses to be flexible, seek new markets and secure footholds there, develop homegrown technological solutions, and establish cooperation with reliable partners.
🔸Russia is strengthening its sovereignty in all the areas needed to ensure business operations, including by developing transportation, logistics, and financial and payment infrastructure. 🔹The leaders continued their detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation surrounding Ukraine. Vladimir Putin extended gratitude to Donald Trump for his striving to achieve the noble goal of ending the hostilities and loss of life.
🔹Confirming his fundamental commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict, the President of Russia expressed willingness to thoroughly work out possible solutions in cooperation with the American partners, aimed at reaching a settlement that would be comprehensive, reliable, and lasting, and, naturally, take into account the essential need to eliminate the root causes of the crisis, as well as Russia's legitimate security interests.
🔹Concerning US President's proposal to declare a 30-day ceasefire, the Russian side outlined a number of significant points regarding ensuring effective control over a possible ceasefire along the entire frontline, as well as the need to stop the forced mobilisation in Ukraine and rearming the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was noted that some serious risks exist pertaining to the intractability of the Kiev regime which had repeatedly sabotaged and violated negotiated agreements. I want to express my gratitude to Russian prosecutors for their professionalism and dedication in carrying out their duties. A special appreciation is in order for the officials working in Donbass and Novorossiya, as well as the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in close proximity to the combat zone. Despite the challenging conditions, you fulfil your duties with dignity and courage, providing vital assistance to those in need. Our troops have recently conducted several swift, audacious, and effective operations and are now completing the rout of the enemy force grouping in the Kursk Region. In this regard, I will reiterate: according to the laws of the Russian Federation, any Ukrainian servicemen — not to mention foreign mercenaries — who invaded our land and committed crimes against the civilian population must be and are regarded as terrorists from a legal standpoint. The heinous acts they committed must be identified, recorded, and thoroughly investigated. I ask the officials of the Prosecutor General's Office, and specifically military prosecutors, to undertake efforts in that respect on a full scale in the liberated territories, including both Sudzha and other communities. All criminals, those who took part in reprisals, issued illegal orders or abused civilians must be identified and subsequently receive the punishment they deserve.
