Holy Tuesday
The Parable of the Ten Virgins is read on Holy Tuesday. It tells the story of the five virgins who filled their lamps in preparation for receiving the bridegroom while the other five allowed their lamps to go out, and hence were shut out of the marriage feast. This parable is a warning that we must always be prepared to receive our Lord when He comes again. The theme of the day is reinforced by the expostelarion hymn we sing: "I see Thy Bridal Chamber adorned, O my Savior, but have no wedding garment that I may enter. O Giver of Light, enlighten the vesture of my soul, and save me."

Humility is:
“Deep knowledge of one’s own insignificance.
Hatred of human praise.
Leaving word justification.
Silence before those who offend.
Putting aside all your own speculations and accepting the mind of the Gospel.
Conscious obedience to the Church in everything.
Humility is the teaching of Christ, is the property of Christ, is the action of Christ."
Words of the Savior: "Learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart" (Matthew 11:29).
St. Ignatius Brianchaninov

Holy Wednesday is the last day for the prayer of St. Ephrem the Syrian:
O Lord and Master of my life, give me not a a spirit of sloth, vain curiosity, lust for power, and idle talk.
But give to me Thy servant a spirit of soberness, humility, patience, and love.
O Lord and King, grant me to see my own faults and not to condemn my brother: for blessed art Thou to the ages of ages. Amen.

Tonight you stand before us, girded with the servant's apron, to wash the feet of Your disciples.
You the First become the Last. To show "humbleness is the best way" to a world that made its "I" a god.
Humiliation. This word does not fit in our resumes, and in the hunt for first place, we have forgotten it. After all, the world doesn't really care for the "successful ones". But You, who once blessed the humble, remind us of it.
You, the Lord and Master! You stand before us tonight girded
the towel to wash the feet of Your disciples, and in Your temples a wonderful hymn resounds, bells you say, to wake up our souls:
".If, then, you are my friends, imitate me; the one who wants first is, be he last..".
And the struggles begin.....
Will the heart be moved tonight to fight for the last place?

The Pascha egg in symbolizes the Holy Sepulcher, in which eternal life is hidden.
For Pascha, eggs are painted in different colors and decorated with stickers.
In the Seraphim-Diveevo Monastery, eggs are traditionally colored with onion skins in red color, which symbolizes the blood and suffering of Christ.
Dyeing is done during the day on Maundy Thursday. Volunteer helpers help the sisters, because they need to prepare more than three thousand eggs for the holiday.
