This Is @MaximeBernier's speech from August 2018, when he quit the Conservative Party of Canada.
I would urge you to listen to the entire speech. Everything he said in this speech is even more true today, than it was then. He correctly identified some of the key issues that would boil over, and lead us to the situation we are in today.
Liberal economic policies have led us to the disaster we are currently facing. Maxime Bernier has been, and still is the only Leader of a Federal party that seems to understand that the future of our nation hangs in the balance.
10 years of leadership under dangerous ideologues, and kleptocratic criminals has placed the future of our country in peril. Extreme and irresponsible immigration schemes (HUMAN TRAFFICKING) that seek to suppress wages, and prop up a corrupt real-estate apparatus. Protectionist trade policies which have placed our trade relationship with the United States in jeopardy. Ideological policies surrounding concepts like "cultural diversity" which have steadily eroded the social trust, and cohesion of communities across the country.
These issues were beginning to be apparent 7 years ago, and have now begun to be such problems that they can no longer be ignored.
The Covid-19 pandemic served as a catalyst for many of these issues. Canada's economic situation worsened as a result of more irresponsible economic policy decisions, and corruption. Billions of dollars were wasted, entire industries were vaporized, and we the people were told very clearly, that our rights are bestowed upon us by the grace, and whims of our leaders.
As a young man, raising young men in this nation, I fear for what will become of us as a people, and what problems I will be leaving for my children to face when they come of age.
The problems that we are too cowardly to face today, will be inherited by our children.
I will continue supporting @peoplespca because I believe that they represent the fresh start that Canada needs. They represent the greatest chance to revitalize leadership in this country.
