"The TRUTH is, that all of the β€œSTUFF” here on earth we work SO hard to buy and accumulate..does NOT mean a thing. At the end of the day...people will be cleaning out our "STUFF", going thru our "STUFF", figuring out what to do with all of our "STUFF"....this "STUFF" we've accumulated in our life. The only thing of VALUE that remains are the MEMORIES and what we deposit into others. May we all learn to spend less time accumulating "STUFF" and spend way more time making MEMORIES." Dr Fami

β€œDo not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

At times we remain in the shadows of trends and daily routines and get consumed by it. We end up following whatever is out there set by others without questioning, be it the good or evil. And as a result we forget we, ourselves, could have been the trend setters for our own journey and as we may do so, we inspire our lives and the lives of others.

Fill your life with moments, people and occasions that inspire you. Be in charge of your path and the paths you choose to follow!

PATIENCE visited me,
And reminded me,
That good things take time to ripen,
And grow slowly, steadily.

PEACE visited me,
And reminded me,
That I can remain calm in the storms of life,
Regardless of the chaos swirling around me.

HOPE visited me,
And reminded me,
That better times await me,
And it will always be there to guide and uplift me.

HUMILITY visited me,
And reminded me,
That I can achieve this not by belittling myself,
But by focusing on serving the world and uplifting others.

KINDNESS visited me,
And reminded me,
To be gentler, more forgiving, and compassionate with myself
And with those around me.

CONFIDENCE visited me,
And reminded me,
Not to hide or suppress my talents and abilities,
Just to make others feel comfortable,
But to embrace all that makes me unique.

FOCUS visited me,
And reminded me,
That others’ insecurities and judgments are not my problems,
And I must redirect my attention back to myself.

FREEDOM visited me,
And reminded me,
That no one can control my mind, thoughts, and well-being,
Only I can.

AND LOVE visited me,
And reminded me,
That I don’t need to seek it in others,
For it resides within me.

All We Need is Today

β€œAll we need is the morning. As long as there is sunrise, then there is the possibility that we can face all of our misfortunes, celebrate all our blessings, and live all our endeavors as human beings.

Spirituality is something that has become necessary in these troubled times. Yet it is inherently superfluous.

We need it to remind ourselves, to bolster ourselves, to integrate ourselves, to fulfill ourselves.

If we could simply acknowledge the mystery of night and the glory of morning, we would need neither civilization nor spirituality.

At its simplest, life begins with dawn. That is blessing enough. All else becomes fullness immeasurable. At dawn, kneel down and give thanks for this wonderful event.

We may think mornings are so common they are unworthy of veneration, but do you realize most places in the cosmos do not have mornings?

This daily event is our supreme goodness. Greet the dawn. That is your miracle to witness. That is the ultimate beauty. That is sacredness. That is your gift from heaven.

That is knowledge that life is not futile. That is enlightenment. That is your meaning in life. That is your directive.

That is your comfort. That is the solemnity of duty. That is inspiration for compassion. That is the light of the ultimate.”

A Note for the Inner- Self

Dear Me,

β€œYou cannot help getting older but you don’t have to get old.” George Burns

The best way to keep your soul young all the time is when you take a good care of your MIND, BODY and SPIRIT.

MIND – Always engage yourself in a continuous self development and learning. Read books, make it your everyday habit. Commit to at least read thirty pages a day. Don’t say it is impossible, just do it this way – ten pages in the morning, ten pages during the day and ten more in the evening. Surround yourself with people that inspire you, enlighten you and bring the best out of you.

BODY – Take a good care of your body, your temple. Mind what and how much you eat and drink. Develop a health plan – exercise, jog in the morning, take long walks or do dance as often as you can. And at all times do find a reason to smile, smile from the heart, smile till you cry your eyes out and hurts you at your tummy. A good laughter has the power to burn belly fats that you can’t get rid of even with physical exercise.

SPIRIT – Invest enough time in your everyday to meditate, to pray and to listen to your inner voice. Remember what you expose yourself to in the first twenty minutes when you wake up in the morning have power to shape your emotion of the rest of the day. Listen to inspiring audio books. And if you ever listen to music, please do make sure you listen to music with worthy contents and value and do make sure to avoid negatively tuned ones.

May your day be filled with gratifying moments and inspiring encounters.

A Note to the Inner-self

Dear me,

"If there is no enemy within, the enemy outside could do us no harm." African Proverb

Change yourself! Harness your potentials not your flaws.

Count your blessings not your worries.

Be on the solution side than just cry over what went wrong.

Know that there is more you could achieve, more you could get and a lot more you could make.

You could reach the heights in life, make things work for you and people and circumstances align with you.

You have always the opportunity now, on the present moment, to better your best.

But it all happens when you believe in your self, know that you have the potentials and the passion and commitment to achieve it.

Take the moment, do it now - listen and connect with your inner self!

May you have a week filled with enlightenment.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."
Winnie the Pooh ~ A.A. Milne

Mindful love and hugs to those having a Difficult Day today and hope you have your own Piglet to sit beside you! πŸ™πŸ’―πŸ’™πŸŒž

What would you do if you weren’t afraid of…

… failing
… disappointing someone
… disappointing your own expectations
… looking like a fool
… not fitting into your own story
… not making money
… having to give up and try again?

If we want to bring the changes we want to see in ourselves we have to start by figuring out exactly what we’re afraid of. (No guarantee that you’ll like the answers, but you’ll learn a lot about yourself. Spoken from first-hand experience.)

A Note to the Inner-self

Dear me,

Make it your everyday mission to be by far better that you were on your yesterdays. Never aspire to be perfect, but aspire to be a better version of your past self. Rather than complaining and beating yourself for all the wrongs yu have had and made in life, choose to learn from your imperfections and humanely acts.

May you have a rewarding day.

Salt -VS- Rice...

An Everyday reminder

Dear me,

"If you were to cook 3 cups of rice, would you add 3 cups of salt to it?

Certainly not!

So, in every preparation of rice, the rice always outnumbers the salt, yet a little salt makes a huge difference/impact in the overall outcome.

In the room in which you currently are, look up at the ceiling...

What is the size of the bulb compared to the size of the room? It is probably a ratio of 1:5000.
Yet, darkness flees the entire space once the small bulb is flipped on.

If I am the salt of the earth, and the light of the world, then "little me" has the ability to make big things happen..

Sometimes, because we feel outnumbered or overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of evil or wrong-doers, we then choose powerlessness, and decide to go with the flow, not standing up for what we believe is right.

Little doesn't mean insignificant.

You are significant. Your presence should make a BIG difference. Stop waiting to be on the side of the majority.

They are the rice of the world, and you are the salt of the world..

They are the room and you are the light.

Make your influence felt!

Remember:
You are the world's seasoning, to make it beautiful..."

One of my favorite Greek proverb I try to live by every day goes as follows: "A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit."

For me it's not about what time of our age clock we are in but rather what we are doing because it is the right and kind thing to do.

Watching this conversation between Simon Sinek and Trevor Noah, it showed me how impactful our small deeds and the actions we take every day in creating by far a better world than the one we lived in.

My question is, What is it that you are doing as an individual or as a company that crafts a better tomorrow?

βš–οΈ The Balance of Self-Doubt and Self-Belief βš–οΈ

True growth comes from understanding the value of both self-doubt and self-belief. πŸ’πŸ’‘

πŸ‘‰ Self-doubt keeps you humble, pushes you to learn, and makes you question for better answers.

πŸ‘‰ Self-belief drives your confidence, action, and the courage to lead.

Great leaders embrace this duality, knowing that value is created when both exist in harmony. 🌟

Which do you think is more important for growth: self-doubt or self-belief? Or do we need both?

The 90/10 Principle

Consider a situation: You're eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter accidentally knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You curse and harshly scold your daughter for the mishap. She breaks down in tears.

After scolding her, you turn to your wife and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal argument follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your wife must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 80 km an hour in a 60 km/h speed limit zone. After a 15-minute delay and paying a $60 traffic fine, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs to the building without saying goodbye.

After arriving at the office 30 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terribly, and as it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to going home. When you arrive home, you find a small wedge in your relationship with your wife and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the traffic policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is D.

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened:

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's OK honey, you just need to be more careful next time." Grabbing a towel, you rush upstairs, change your shirt, and grab your briefcase. You come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You and your wife kiss before you both go to work. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good a day you are having.

Notice the difference. Two different scenarios. Both started the same but ended differently. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% is determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 secret:

If someone says something negative about you, do not be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly, and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out, etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound the steering wheel? Curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the blue car ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it! If you are told you lost your job, why lose sleep or get irritated? It will work out. Channel your energy and time into finding another job. If the plane is late, and it is going to mangle your schedule for the day, why vent your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to read, get to know the other passengers, etc. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90/10 secret. Apply it, and you will be amazed at the results.
