Russian Experts Conclude Their Visit to Ankara 🇹🇷

From November 20 to 22, Russian experts visited Ankara as part of a program organized by the Primakov Center in collaboration with the Russian House in Ankara. The delegation included representatives from IMEMO, Institute of Oriental Studies RAS, MGIMO, MSU, RUDN, and other institutions.

Key Highlights:

🔵 The visit lasted 3️⃣ days.
🔵 The Russian delegation visited 3️⃣ academic and research centers in Ankara: ORSAM, SDE, and the Faculty of Political Science at Ankara University.
🔵 Experts participated in 3️⃣ round tables and 1️⃣ conference.
🔵 Topics discussed included resolving conflicts in the Middle East, the role of Eurasianism in the region, and humanitarian cooperation between Turkey and Russia.

Вчера команда Центра Примакова сходила на международную книжную ярмарку Non/fiction, которая проходит в эти дни в Гостином дворе.

Итак, что можно посмотреть востоковеду на ярмарке?

🔵 ИВ РАН

Первым делом идем к нашим друзьям из Института востоковедения РАН. Там вас ждет книга нашего научного руководителя Руслана Мамедова — «Ирак в начале XXI века. На пути к новой государственности». Если не успели на презентацию в начале года, сейчас отличный момент познакомиться с ней.

🔵Фонд Ибн Сины

Дальше направляемся к стенду Фонда Ибн Сины. Здесь много книг про Иран и персидский язык. Настоятельно рекомендуем заглянуть, особенно если давно планировали пополнить свою коллекцию.

🔵 Greenpalm

Если Ирана вам мало, идите на стенд Greenpalm. Их книги — это отдельный вид искусства, настолько красивые обложки.

🔵 МГИМО

И наконец, завершаем маршрут на стенде МГИМО, где можно найти полезную учебную литературу, включая учебники по арабскому языку.

Yesterday, the Primakov Center team visited the International Book Fair of Intellectual Literature Non/fiction, which is currently taking place in Moscow.

So, what should an orientalist check out at the fair?

🔵 Institute of Oriental Studies, RAS

First, head over to our friends at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences. There, you’ll find the book by our scientific advisor Ruslan Mamedov — Iraq in the Early 21st Century: On the Path to a New Statehood. If you missed its presentation earlier this year, now is a perfect time to explore it.

🔵Ibn Sina Foundation

Next, visit the Ibn Sina Foundation’s stand. It offers a wide selection of books about Iran, the Persian language, and Iranian culture. Highly recommended, especially if you’ve been planning to expand your collection.

🔵 Greenpalm

If Iran is not enough for you, head to the Greenpalm stand. Their books are a true work of art, with incredibly beautiful covers.

Finally, wrap up your tour at MGIMO’s stand. Here, you can find useful educational literature, including Arabic language textbooks.
