How It Went: Youth Session of the Primakov Readings — 2025

From June 20 to 24, Moscow hosted the 8th Youth Session of the Primakov Readings, organized by the Primakov Center in partnership with the Council of Young Scientists and Postgraduates of IMEMO.

This year, the session brought together 20 participants from eight countries: Russia, Pakistan, Morocco, Brazil, Indonesia, India, Belarus, and South Korea. All of them are young researchers who will be shaping the intellectual agenda of tomorrow.

Центр Примакова на форуме Obninsk NEW 2025 ⚛️

На этой неделе в Обнинске прошел Международный молодежный ядерный форум Obninsk NEW 2025, объединивший на своей площадке молодых ученых, инженеров и лидеров мнений из более чем 70 стран.

В этот году программа мероприятия посвящена 80-летию атомной промышленности России. В фокусе — ядерная энергетика нового поколения, искусственный интеллект, технологии в медицине и космосе.

В рамках панельной дискуссии «Обнинск Тех: партнерство, создающее возможности» выступила исполнительный директор Центра Примакова Виктория Карслиева. В центре обсуждения:

🔵 возможности научного и карьерного роста для студентов и молодых специалистов в атомной отрасли;
🔵 роль партнерств в развитии глобальных ядерных проектов;
🔵 значение проекта «Обнинск Тех» как международной образовательной и кооперационной платформы.

Для участников форум стал возможностью задать прямые вопросы, услышать, как отрасль меняется изнутри — а главное понять, где в этом всем их место.

The Primakov Center at the Obninsk NEW 2025 ⚛️

This week, Obninsk hosted the International Youth Nuclear Forum Obninsk NEW 2025, bringing together young scientists, engineers, and thought leaders from over 70 countries.

This year’s program was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry. In the spotlight: next-generation nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies in medicine and space.

Victoria Karslieva, Executive Director of the Primakov Center, joined the panel discussion "Obninsk Tech: Partnerships That Create Possibilities." The conversation focused on

🔵 academic and career development prospects for students and young professionals in the nuclear field;
🔵 the role of partnerships in advancing global nuclear projects;
🔵 the significance of the Obninsk Tech project as an international platform for education and cooperation.

For participants, the forum offered a rare chance to ask direct questions, gain insight into how the industry is evolving from within, and, most importantly, see where they fit into this transformation.
