Who else took a decade to figure out why it's called 'Phoenix Down'?

As a kid I didn't know that feathers could be referred to as 'downy', or that 'down' could mean the feathers of a bird. It always confused me that a phoenix falling or being downed was the phrase used for revival, but hey it's a phoenix and the game's Japanese so maybe it just gets lost in translation. I equated it to a phrase like 'Black Hawk Down' or something to that effect.

Glad to know I'm just stupid and down just means feathers.
