My Wife at Checkout

When I go to the grocery store with my wife there is one thing that has to happen every time... She has to forget something as we are in checkout line, and wonder off for that 1 item. She then leaves me behind with the cashier awkwardly starring at each other wondering how long this will take. She always will return in a hurry while me, the cashier, and of course the next person in line are waiting. It's always followed by a sorry and a look.
