I gave up on FreeBSD (too many compromises needed to use it for a desktop) and am now working on installing Chimera Linux on my T495s

What's a good ThinkPad for a sidegrade?
Casual user (so just a lot of tabs, Office, occasional gaming but nothing heavy). Currently using an HP Pavillion with i5-1035G1 and 12GB of RAM. It is still serving me well, but I was wondering what backups I could maybe buy in case it decides that year 5 is a no-go.
I've looked at older ThinkPads before, and assuming the talks online about repairability and build quality are fully reliable, I'd like to get one myself.
I have mostly narrowed down my options to either a T14, a T490/495, or a T480. Apparently most people love the T480, but idk how it'll hold up moving forward. Also, what would count as "good prices" online for those?
