A ThinkPad without the ugly mono eyebrow — is there a chance?

While was looking for my T14 g1 replacement, noticed that all of new gens designed with that ugly stuff.

Talking about that one

I understand that it was an attempt to save space for the screen and reduce the frame size to make the bezel smaller, but...

So the question - how is the community and buyers reaction?

Am I alone, or in the minority, in finding this a total disaster?1
