Last night my finance and I were enjoying the night air before bed and my little buddy had already stopped by because his bowl was empty, but he came back, walked right up on the porch and came within like a foot of us. It was almost like he just wanted to say hey man thanks for the grub and letting me have a safe place to hang out lol

Over the past 13 months, I’ve been writing Raccoon Manual: Raising, Training, and Living with a Pet Raccoon—a detailed, pet-forward care guide designed to reshape how people think about raccoons. It covers everything from training, diet, vet care, enrichment, and communication to formula guides, emergencies, and legal ownership. There’s truly nothing else like it made specifically for pet raccoons.
This was inspired by our leucistic blonde raccoon, Leon Kennedy, and by my ongoing mission to update rabies quarantine species laws across the U.S.—so raccoons can finally be recognized alongside dogs, cats, and ferrets. If you've been following our journey online, thank you so much!
But before that happens, I want to normalize responsible, legal raccoon ownership and push back against all the misinformation out there—bad feeding advice, unlicensed sellers, and recycled internet myths. It’s my first book, written from real experience with a background in science, technology, and business. Available only as an eBook (because we’re not cutting down raccoon habitat just to print a manual).
150+ pages with training, feeding, communication, vet visits, and detailed Q&A—written from the voice of someone living daily life with a pet raccoon as family. Not a come-and-go wild animal, but a full-time pet, medical care, licensing, and a forever home.
