👉 Respond Crisis Translation — A collective of language activists providing compassionate, effective, and trauma-informed interpretation and translation services for migrants, refugees, and anyone experiencing language barriers.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to become project managers to manage translation and interpretation projects from Vietnamese, Turkish and Bengali. Your job will be to organize the work of volunteers so that they can effectively help migrants and refugees by providing them with quality translation services. The main goal is to ensure that all projects are completed correctly and on time so that people get the support they need.

📌 What needs to be done
• Coordinate the translation and interpretation process, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner;
• Liaise with translators and interpreters, guiding their work and ensuring that all quality requirements are met;
• Manage the distribution of tasks amongst the team to ensure that each member knows their responsibilities;
• Communicate with beneficiaries to clarify their needs and ensure that their requests are met;
• Resolve problems that arise and find ways to resolve them effectively;
Ensure that all necessary documents and data are stored and organized for easy access and use.

🤝 Requirements
• We offer a flexible schedule, which you can combine with your main job or studies;
• Can work remotely, from anywhere in the world where you have internet access;
• Able to organize teamwork and keep track of deadlines;
• Can effectively allocate tasks and monitor their completion;
• Able to respond quickly to problems and find solutions;
• Communicates clearly and in a friendly manner and can get along with a variety of people;
• Understands the translation process or is willing to get up to speed quickly;
• Willingness to help migrants and refugees and willingness to work in a team and learn new things.
