India's Chandrayaan-3 lunar station module landed on the lunar surface 👏🏼

The Chandrayaan-3 payload consists of six instruments besides cameras. The descent module is equipped with ChaSTE instrument to determine the thermal properties of regolith, ILSA instrument to study seismic activity of the moon and RAMBHA-LP Langmuir probe.

It also carries a 26-kilogram six-wheeled lunar rover equipped with the APXS X-ray spectrometer and the LIBS laser spectroscope.

A unique opportunity to see Comet Nishimura, which was discovered in August this year, will get residents of the Northern Hemisphere.

The comet will pass closest to the Sun on September 17 and will be at a distance of 33 million kilometres from it.

The next time Nishimura will be seen will be in the year 2460.
