رسالة إلى كل من نزل إلى الساحات (مسيحي وغير مسيحي) لمطالبة بدولة مدنية:

نريد منكم إضافة إلى مطالبكم حكم وأمن ذاتي ذاتي للمسيحيين، وبالذات في وادي النصارى وللمسيحيون السريان الآشوريون في الشرق.

حتى تحت علمانية الأسد، كان مجتمعنا في حالة انحدار. وللأسف، لا يمكن تغييره إلا أن مكنا بتنمية مناطقنا بعيداً عن تدخلات أي قوة خارجية، سواء كانت من هيئة أو غير هيئة.

لماذا؟

طوال الحرب الأهلية، قامت جبهة النصرة وحلفاءها بهجومات على المناطق المسيحية. بدأت الثورة بوعود التي لم تتمم، كنا مقتنعين أن لا يمكننا أن نكون متسرعين في إطلاق الأحكام، وقد عانينا من العواقب. طوال الحرب كنا نعتمد على ميليشيات محلية لأمن أراضينا، والآن كلها مهددة من قبل هيئة وأذنابها التي تطالب بنزع السلاح لكل فاعل غير حكومي. هذا هو تهديد وجودي لنا ولا يمكن إنكاره. بالأمس أعتدوا على الدافعين المسيحيين السابقين لقريتنا السقيلبية، هم لم يكونوا أسديين مؤدلجين ومجرد دافعوا عن قريتهم!

يجب علينا التخلص من هذه العقلية الذمية التي تطورت خلال عهد الأسد، وأن نتعلم من مسيحيي لبنان وكيف تغلبوا على تحديات مماثلة لنا.

🇦🇲 🇦🇿 - Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev is mad at the armament of Armenia with "lethal weapons" increasing at an "alarming pace", citing France as a chief actor, as well as accusing the United States of secretly also supplying Armenia.

To give a brief background, Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh won the 1994 Nagorno-Karabakh war when Azerbaijan was still an infantile state. After decades of economic expansion chiefly based around Caspian sea oil, armament and foreign support, namely by Turkey, Israel, and Pakistan, as well as Turkey providing ample ground support with SNA mercenaries from Syria who were reportedly treated as cannon fodder, Azerbaijan came into ascendancy and occupied Artsakh.

As Armenia militarily recovers and expands, in the coming years it can once again pose a major threat to Azerbaijan and perhaps even retake Artsakh and more. In an age where invasions and territorial changes have started becoming the norm since the war in Ukraine, this is looking ever more likely.

After the visit of the U.S. Secretary of State assistant, Barbara Leaf, to #Damascus, #Syria today, she said that Ahmad Al-Shara’ (Al-Joulani; the leader of the HTS) vowed not to let Syria become a harbor for terror groups that threaten the security of neighboring countries, including #Israel.

As a result, the assistant said that the U.S. will not pursue the 10 million dollars bounty on Al-Joulani’s head.

✥ On December 20, 2016 the young Coptic martyr Magy Momen departed after suffering her last 9 days from the injuries of the Islamist bombing that happened in the women’s side of the St. Peter and St. Paul Coptic Orthodox Church. We must never forget.
