London Craft Week 2022期間， 我們參加了其中由Dunhill在其旗艦店舉辦的活動， 欣賞Dunhill的作品和珍藏, 包括精選時髦西裝，休閒服，皮鞋，皮袋作品，歷史悠久的珍藏火機和煙斗，還有皮革師傅和手工量制西裝師傅示範。
當日焦點是鑲鑽的巴黎鐵塔煙斗，是師傅精湛手藝和七年心血的價值連城，獨一無二傑作。 其他展品還包括世界最細小， 要用放大鏡才可以見到的煙斗； 英王太后在英皇佐治六世死后退還的煙斗; 英皇佐治六世側面輪廓的煙斗；日式朱漆煙斗等等， 每一件都是手工精緻而又實用的藝術品。
煙斗之外，Dunhill火機亦在業界享有崇高聲譽， 展品包括第一個單手控制的打火機，用玻璃塑料反向凹製造每個都獨一無二的水族館系列打火機， Elvis 的14k金打火機等。
小心保留下來的皮製長大褸， 具有望遠功能的駕駛護目鏡....... 隱約見到一個戰後年代的俊朗車手。
這天最開心是和UF新朋舊友一起欣賞 Dunhill 傳承一貫前瞻設計，出色手藝的作品 ，和享用了精美的小食和無盡的香檳。

LondonCraftWeek ⚒️ 2022 has drawn to an end and we can't wait until 2023!
We participated in one of the events, hosted by Dunhill in their flagship store, to showcase contemporary Dunhill creations.
Upon entrance to the house, we were welcomed by the upmarket leather products displayed on the shelves. More interesting though, was the embossing and edging demonstration by a leather modeller, who proceeded to emboss initials on the wallet of one of us.
The focal point of the exhibition had to be the diamond studded Eiffel Tower pipe which took 7 years to complete. Itself, as well as the display box was an absolutely art masterpiece. It can be yours for $$$$$$$!
For someone not keen on jewellery, there would be a pipe to impress, be it the smallest pipe in the world, King Geroge VI’s pipe returned by The Queen Mother after his death, pipe of KGVI’s sideway look, or the White Spot Namiki pipes. They are truly stunning pieces of art as well as functional pipe made with the highest quality of wood.
Also from Dunhill archive were Elvis’s 14k gold lighter, the world’s first one handed lighter, and the handmade aquarium lighters with no two were the same, just to name a few.

We participated in one of the events, hosted by Dunhill in their flagship store, to showcase contemporary Dunhill creations.

The outdoor event in Bermondsey Square is organised and hosted by Stephen Pierre of Unity Arts Music Team (UMAT）, a jazz and blues singer.
UMAT is a grassroots community music company (CIC) based in London. The non-profit making group was founded in March 2018 aiming to promote aspiring and seasoned creative talent, support community engagement and other good causes. Empowering equality and diversity is at the forefront of everything they do. Their collective of musicians range from students and graduates from London’s leading music conservatoires.
Achievements of UMAT:
2019- UMAT was nominated for a Mayor of London Culture and Creative Award
2020- UMAT won a Southwark Business Excellence Award(Category: Contribution To The Community)
May 2021- UMAT presented their first outdoor Jazz event at St John’s Church Garden Waterloo
2021- UMAT was recognised as part of London’s Festival of Ideas Summer 2021

UFCIC: Tai Chi for Beginners
This is a 6-lessons-course co-hosted by UFCIC and ZiJinLau.
The course is recommended for people who have no/ little experience but are interested in understanding and learning Tai Chi. This is also an opportunity to establish wellbeing lifestyle and community.
Tai Chi is a gentle form of martial arts combining deep, diaphragmatic breathing and flowing/dancelike poses, recommendable workout for all ages. Tai Chi has been found to improve practitioners’ balance, muscles strength, cardiovascular endurance, pulse rate, muscular flexibility, immune system, insomnia. Getting the balance of Yin and Yang, Tai Chi helps to improve the “Qi” and in turn enhance concentration and decision.
Dates: July 16, 23, 30, August 6, 13, 20 (Saturdays)
Time: 9:30am -10:30am
Venue: Battersea Park, SW11 4NJ
Costs: £48 (6 sessions, non-refundable) All course fee collected after costs will be donated to UFCIC to support migrants integration, preserving culture and contribution to the local community.

入門課程適合對太極有興趣但從未接觸或只有簡單接觸的人仕。 這也是建立一個健康生活方式和社區的機會。
太極拳是一種動作柔和的武術，它採用腹式呼吸法，姿勢有點像舞蹈， 可以改善身心健康和增強精力。多項研究發現，練太極拳能調節情緒、減少壓力 提高平衡力、腿部力量、心血管耐力、脈搏率、肌肉靈活度、免疫系統反應、睡眠習慣、從以改善心臟病、失眠、關節痛和高血壓等慢性疾病。太極透過平衡對立又互補的陰陽，改善氣（生命力能量）的流動和整體活力， 幸福感、自我價值感，以及在認知測試中集中注意力和完成多項任務的能力。

Proudly brewing modern classics in the heart of Hackney, East London. Founded in 2013 with a commitment to quality and our community.
Our Five Points beer experts will take you on a guided tour of our brewhouse, barrel-ageing project, and packaging lines while explaining everything that goes into making excellent craft beer.
After the tour, you will taste four different Five Points beers fresh from the tank while seated on our mezzanine beer terrace overlooking the brewery and learn about The Five Points Brewing Company, the science of brewing, and the fantastic history of beer.

New employment law free legal advice service
UFCIC is delighted to announce that it will trial a free telephone employment law advice service for Hong Kongers in the UK subject eligibility criteria.
Who would be eligible?
We looking to run the service for Hong Kongers who:
(a) have recently arrived to the UK from Hong Kong with an intention to settle in the UK
(b) are on a low income (less than 25,000 per year) and no capital (do not own a UK property / have less than 8,000 in any of their bank accounts)
(c) live in Inner London
What legal advice would be covered?
We only have capacity to offer free employment law legal advice.
If you want advice in areas such as immigration, housing law, or debt, please contact your local Law Centre and Citizens Advice office in your area.
❓Who would be providing the service?
We work closely with a UK-based employment lawyer who is looking to trial the service. However, we would love to hear from:
(a) employment lawyers: barristers, solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives
(b) employment paralegals with at least 6 months of employment law experience (preferably providing employment law advice)
(c) HR professionals with at least 6 months of employment law experience (preferably providing employment law advice)
