🇺🇸 - Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) of the right-wing of GOP denounced the new spending bill, as he views the abolition of debt ceiling as an unacceptable step.

Trump instantly called for a primary challenge against Mr Roy.

🇧🇷 - Eight Brazilian senators, who preferred to remain anonymous, reported discussions between the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate regarding a possible vote for the impeachment of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. They made this decision to avoid potential retaliation from Supreme Federal Court (STF) justices who are allies of the Executive.

🇺🇸 - Now the bill goes to the House of Representatives. It will fail to gather 2/3 majority, as Democrats oppose it strongly.

Then, Speaker Johnson will call for a simple majority vote. No guarantee that will pass, as the Republican majority in the House is tiny. Many prominent right-wing Republicans can go against the deal.

After all that - assuming the bill passes in the House - it will go to Senate. Senate is controlled by Democrats till Jan 2025. It's hard to see how a Chuck Schumer (D-NY)-led Senate passes the bill that is so much opposed by his party in 2024.

In case they actually want a bill to pass in 2024, they need bipartisan support. Also, Democrats strongly oppose no debt ceiling until early 2027.
