Green-focused Gryphon Digital Mining will go public
The fully renewable energy mining company Gryphon Digital Mining will gain public status through a reverse merger with data management provider Sphere 3D.
Under the terms of the deal, Sphere 3D will issue 111 million shares to the shareholders of the mining company. They will receive a 77% stake in the combined firm, which will take over the buyer's name, Gryphon Digital Mining. Its capitalization was estimated at $ 184.3 million based on the closing price of $ 1.66 Sphere 3D shares as of June 3.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter after receiving shareholder and regulatory approval.
