◄ مضمونا = مأمون عباسی، خواب "ارسطوطالیس" را دید! او پس از این ماجرا، اطرافیان را سوال کرد که این ارسطو کیست؟ به او گفتند: او یک فرد حکیم از یونان است!
مأمون عباسی "حنین بن اسحاق" را احضار کرد و از او خواست که کتب یونانیان را به لغت عربی ترجمه کند! مأمون در این راه سرمایه بسیار مبذول داشت. این خلیفه عباسی حتی به پادشاه روم نامه نوشت که علوم قدیمه و مخزونه را در اختیار وی بگذارند
