( متفق عليه ) ● و روى ابن ماجة عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال النبي ﷺ: الْحُمَّى مِنْ كِيرِ جَهَنَّمَ، فَنَحُّوهَا عَنْكُمْ بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ. ● وفى المسند عن سمُرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال النبي ﷺ: الْحُمّى قِطْعَةٌ مِنْ النّارِ ، فَأَبْرِدُوهَا عَنْكُمْ بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ. ● و أخرج الحاكم في المستدرك، والطبراني في الأوسط، أن رسول الله ﷺإذا حُمَّ دَعَا بقِربة من ماءٍ, فأفرغَها على رأسِه فاغتسلَ.
